100% of all money donated goes to families in need
Those in need of assistance are funded through a participating nominated school. When donors register, they select the school they wish to donate through.
Money raised by this school is distributed as follows:
- 80% of all donations will be used to support families in the local area. This money assists people in your immediate community. School principals have the autonomy to approve funds (with limitations for individual use ) without any red tape or bureaucracy. Accountability measures to ensure no abuse of funds occurs.
- 20% of these funds are made available for special requests from anywhere in the country from any participating school. This ensures areas of greatest need receive extra support if needed, or for special requests that occur, eg disasters, specific emergencies, etc. These requests are approved by the Board of Directors, but funds are still distributed through the school.
Those in need are identified by
- Teachers identifying and supporting families in need.
- Requesting support through the school.
- Others nominating a family in need.
- Families in need may not necessarily attend the particular school, e.g. younger families or local families who have left the school etc.
